Lark: A Modern Marketplace

One of our favorite places to visit in Gettysburg is a shop downtown called Lark. We went there to photograph an overview of this shop for a lifestyle magazine, and fell in love with its atmosphere, the products and its owner. We certainly weren't expecting this space to be so big and full of interesting products everywhere we looked. Lark has a little bit of everything for everyone. Located in the heart of the town, it’s a lovely surprise and so easy to find.

Gettysburg Fourth of July

Capturing the Independence Day in Gettysburg this past summer was stunning.  Gorgeous light of the setting sun is beautiful but when it rakes across a once empty field now covered in hundreds of celebrating people, it takes your breath away. The smells of popcorn, the giggles of children, the band playing captured in images to remember. These images are shared with you with a heart of gratitude for those who walked this land and sacrificed for us. We hope these images say "thank you" for our independence and to the amazing people of Gettysburg.

The City of Lancaster 

It’s an honor to work and dwell in Lancaster City. This community has so much to offer. We all find a way to belong in Lancaster, one way or another. As time goes by we can see it growing and changing. You can make plans or just head downtown to see what it has to offer. We love that this town cares about the quality of life for the people in it, all different kinds of people from all different walks of life is what makes this a community. The music, events, art, restaurants, historical preservation, opportunity, theater, markets, fundraisers, nonprofits, different cultures, welcoming neighborhoods are often made possible by the people that work in this city, for this city. To us, the effort and energy behind all of this greatness just keeps getting better and stronger as time goes by.

Two Dudes Painting Co.

Two Dudes Painting company has spent the past 25 years redefining painting services in Lancaster County. They do a little bit of everything: interiors, exteriors, wallpaper, murals, signage and commercial construction, to mention a few. They are often involved and invested into making their community a better place. They sponsor nonprofit events, including the "Race Against Racism" and "Walk a Mile In Her Shoes." They recently received a certification as a B Corporation, which is an acknowledgement that the company has a commitment to social and environmental ethics, transparency and accountability. They have met many rigorous standards that measure a company’s impact on its employees lives, suppliers, community and environment. It’s pretty amazing that we have the opportunity to show up, bring a camera and make record of their lives—their story. Our hope is that other companies will see what Two Dudes is doing and how they are leading the pack as an amazing company you can trust, filled with good people doing great things. It’s truly and honor to capture their worthwhile story.
