More With Less Cookbook
This summer, Donovan was selected by the publishers at Herald Press to photograph the 40th anniversary edition of their iconic More With Less cookbook .
An iconic cookbook that pioneered the idea of simple fresh cooking with a global mindset, the challenge was to add fresh food photography to a book that has never featured any images. With this in mind, we opted to shoot with mostly natural light, and incorporate simple yet rustic surfaces. Working alongside food stylist Cherise Harper (www.cheriseharper.com) the team spent two days in the studio photographing a series of images that will anchor the anniversary edition, which will appear at booksellers later in the year. And take our word for it…their recipes taste amazing!
